I told you The Sounding Joy was my favourite Christmas stampset. I never tire of finding new ways to use it either. This card was made with it along with the medallion background stamp to create a wreath effect. I topped it off with some quilted satin cherry cobbler ribbon, a vintage brad and some rhinestone jewels and right now it's one of my favourite cards this year:)

The new stocking punch is so much fun, with or without the coordinating stampset. Here's I've built the 3 stockings on this card using the Holly Berry Bouquet dsp on a background of real red cardstock. I used linen thread to string them along and I embellished each with a mini jingle bell. The 'merry Christmas' sentiment comes from the contempo Christmas set. A very simple card, but so cute!

I used a some real red cardstock and the fun flowers die to create this poinsettia bookmark. I finished it off by adding a Holly Berry Bouquet button, a mini jingle bell and little tag I made using the tiny tags stampet and punch along with the pines & poinsettias stampset. ...continuing my love of making rosettes, I made this little Christmas tree out of rosettes. Here's a link to the best source of measurements out there. Basically you make each rosette a quarter inch smaller than the last. I used up my stash of green dsps from the last couple of years so many of the papers used are retired...a great way to put odds and ends to good use!:)

A few weeks ago I posted this preview of the Beau Chateau class which I held yesterday. Our second project at technique club this week was this mini book with pockets to put the techniques we play with at each meeting. This was the fun flowers bookmark we made in wisteria wonder at Stamp Camp this weekend. Once you cut the flowers with the fun flowers big shot die you crumple them up then sponge the edges with the same colour of ink, then you layer them with dimensionals and circle punches (that you don't see) and attach a ribbon at the back. I love this card. I was trying out a new technique, double embossing...the bottom piece is first edition dsp embossed with an embossing plate inked with versamark and then heat embossed with black embossing powder. The flower is made with a new technique as well. It's two of the flowers from the Fun Flowers die, but I have done a technique to separate the paper layers and turned them inside

This was the first card I made for my cousin's recent wedding, but I wasn't sure about it when I was done, so I made another. Now, the card is growing on me. The background was done by stamping the Always Elegant flourish in versa mark and then clear embossing and then sponging in rose red. The greeting comes from the Word Play stampset and is finished off with rhinestone jewels:)

One of my favourite things in the Summer Mini is the new postage stamp punch and the stampset I used on these little thank you notes, Pretty Postage, coordinates perfectly with it. The cards were finished off with the swirls from the Priceless stampset stamped in the background - this stampset is retiring by June 30th. This was the 2nd make & take at this weekend's workshop. I combined the Open Sea stamp images with this greeting from the Word Play stampset. The card base is soft suede and the layers are cherry cobbler, crumb cake, not quite navy and naturals ivory cardstock. We made this card and little gift bag as our first make & take at today's retirement party/workshop. We used both old and new things. As for the old, we used the in color DSP from the 6 x 6 pack in the current catalog that retires on June 30th (it's a level 1 hostess). As for new, we used the new blossom bouquet triple layer punch for the bows on the presents! (Thanks Becky for the idea!)
