Simply Adorned

I've been interested in these ever since they debuted last year, but at first I tried the memory glass option available at a local craft store thinking it was cheaper...it was cheaper alright...the glass breaks and the final result wasn't wearable:(

This was my first attempt with SU's Simply Adorned - this one is the largest charm and the longest chain (34") - and I'm loving it! I just love the beveled glass and the way you can even add dimension in the element you create for inside! AND I love that you can change out your inserts and create all sorts of looks!!

Stamps: Charmed, Artistic Etchings, Broadsheet Alphabet, Tiny Tags

Inks: Crumbcake, Early Esspresso

Embellishments: rhinestone jewels, pearl bauble, chantilly lace:)

Hostess Cone

Just a little cone I made for my workshop hostess on the weekend:) We had a fun time on Saturday...the ladies really enjoyed all of the projects and I enjoyed meeting, creating and chatting with all of them! 8 Years!

8 years ago today I married the man of my dreams...and I'm still struck, even more today actually, at how gracious and extravagant God is to have blessed me with such an amazing husband! Happy anniversary Les, Je t'amour!!

(Picture taken this week when he surprised me one afternoon with a walk along the river...and then a trip to Earls for one of my favourite meals:) ...our anniversary date night this weekend was spent at The Granary as has become the tradition:))

Tri- shutter Album Class

I spent the morning preparing some of the paper for my upcoming tri-shutter album class. Here is an example of what we will be making, but we'll be updating my previous album to current SU paper designs (using several papers from the love letter dsp pack). The cover will be customizable to various titles...'family', 'travel', 'you & me', 'paris'... and I'll also teach you how to make a 3 dimensional vintage flower embellishment with one of our vintage brads on the front.

When: Saturday November 20th 2 pm

(a further class may be scheduled in December or January if this one fills up and

there is enough interest)

Where: My home

Cost: $25 (includes all paper to construct album; project will be pre-cut and scored)

Supplies to bring: Adhesive (tape runner, sticky strip), scissors, any extra embellishments you might want to add, pictures (if you already know which ones you're putting in), black ink pad, any distressing ink & sponge you may have if you want to distress the dsp.

I made this thank you this weekend for a wonderful woman I met this week who has booked me to do a workshop this month. I took some inspiration from the Artistic Avenger's blog.

I normally prepare a small gift for the hostess of a workshop I'm demonstrating at, but since I'm the hostess this time, I decided to make a small treat for everyone attending:)) I didn't buy any hallowe'en product this year, so I used up old/retired product for these since I needed to make so many of them. The dsp was from a 6 x 6 pack that came a hostess benefit in a previous year & the stamp was the set Holiday Best which was a hostess set available in the last catalog.

The Keys to Paris

Sorry not to have posted recently but my darling husband took me on a trip to Paris so hopefully you will understand;) Also, when we got home about a week ago I got a terrible cold so I haven't been stamping that much lately.

I found these old keys before we went away at a Home Sense store and I made the tag out of a piece of chipboard and a piece of cardstock that I used an impressions folder on.

Also, as of today I've decided to finally take the plunge and become a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I love creating and I mostly use SU products already, so it seems a natural step. I'll be hosting a workshop toward the end of the month as my kickoff once I receive my starter kit and will be sure to post the details on here. Also, I'll be hosting a couple of classes between now and Christmas to help people with gift ideas, so stay tuned! Stampin' Up has some wonderful promotions coming up too, so I'm excited to be able to share them with you as soon as they begin!!

Fall Banner

I was completely inspired to make something 'fall' yesterday for my home

- the trees are so gorgeous right now with leaves of green, gold, orange and red!

And then I saw what Kimberley made for Founder's Circle (which I was not at...I'm not even a demo...yet;), and I just had to play!

Each piece for the banner is 3 1/2 x 8" and is scored at 6 1/2".

Lynn's Birthday

It was my sweet friend's birthday on Monday and this was the card I made her:)

- stamps: vintage vogue, oval all, very vintage
- stencils, brad & hodgepodge
- and oops, the ribbon wasn't SU, but I'm not sure where it was from, I just have a big roll I've been working on forever;)

Vintage Baroque

I was playing around with making flowers out of scallop circles and this is what I came up with...

All supplies SU:

- stamps: baroque motifs; french flair

- inks: always artichoek, close to cocoa, basic black

- cardstock: vanilla, chco chip, always articoke

- ribbon: wide satin choc chip (it's on the clearance rack!)

- antique brad

I'm sure you've noticed by now, I'm totally in *love* with pg 125 of the new SU catalog. From the moment I saw it, it was just me!
