(...sigh...) It's Thursday and ever since this week's
Cinema Saturday was revealed I've been wanting to participate, but things have been so hectic this week and the only creating I've had time for is to work on some of my Christmas presents and cards that HAVE to go out soon.

This week's theme was 'The Sound of Music'. I love that movie!! And I loosely based my idea for how to do these two projects on my thoughts of the movie. First of all, the patterns and paper were kind of inspired by my thoughts of Austria and the mountains - they have a sort of Nordic feel, and then the snowflakes in the paper and clear embellished on the backgrounds of the pieces where the words are came from my favourite song from the movie...when she says, "snowflakes that fall on my nose and eyelashes...these are a few of my favourite

things..." I know the projects don't closely resemble any scenes from the movie, but sometimes it works that way.
Thanks to
Sankari and
Brooke for the inspiration and for reminding me of a such a warm movie this week!
