Cinema Saturday #4

'Grease is the word...is the word...

...it's got groove it's got meaning...'

So this week's Cinema Saturday challenge is inspired by the movie Grease, and my card is a card I've made for a friend who just got back from a month long vacation. Of course I took inspiration from the red convertible from the movie, from blonde haired sizzled up Sandy and then I tried to play that against some varsity feeling elements - the pennant, the argyle. I picked the red and white in the card because those were Ridel's colours.

'Grease is the word...'

'We take the pressure and we throw away
Conventionality belongs to yesterday
There is a chance that we can make it so far
We start believing now that we can be who we are
'

Sherri - your card is just darling! I love the argyle and the welcome back pennant is just the perfect touch! Your Bella'd up Sandy is awesome in her convertible! Love the feel of the card - it is so very Sandra Dee meets Grease Lightening :)

Its always so nice to come over to your blog for a visit - love that tutorial with envelope template to make a box with your Big Shot (and by the way - you are so lucky and your DH is awesome!!!!)

Thank you so much for playing along this week! Hope you had alot of fun! I know that your friend is going to LOVE this card!
Sending you a ton of happy wishes :)

A perfect card for that challenge! I, too, thought about using this Bella for the challenge, but I thought I would need a "Fella" for my Bella and didn't have the right one, so I decided not to use her. But I love yur result - without any Fella!!!
