Worship

Certain worship songs go around and around in my mind, and I find myself singing them throughout the day at moments when I don't even realize it. I guess I'm finding myself doing this more than usual this week as Les played in worship last weekend, which meant I had my talented man strumming some extra worship for me to sing along with all last week at home:) There is one song in particular from this weekend's worship that is very personal from my heart...

Unfailing Love
Chris Tomlin

You have my heart and I am yours forever
You are my strength, God of grace and power

And everything You hold in Your hands
Still You make time for me
I can't understand

(Chorus)
Praise You God of earth and sky
How beautiful is Your unfailing love
Unfailing love
And You never change, God you remain
The Holy One of my unfailing love
Unfailing love

You are my rock the One I hold onto
You are my song and I sing for You

And everything You hold in Your hands
Still you make time for me
I can't understand

Praise You God of earth and sky
How beautiful is Your unfailing love
Unfailing love
And You never change, God you remain
The Holy One of my unfailing love
Unfailing love

There is another, somewhat more familiar song that we sang in worship this week that I regularly find myself swaying to. It is one of my favourite worship songs and was actually written by someone we know...

Your Love is Perfect

There is no greater love than giving your life for someone
So here I stand in awe considering what You've done
And I will worship you with all I have to offer
What else could I do, there's no greater love than this

(chorus)
Your love is perfect; mercy's new each day
Morning, mid-day, night I'll sing Your praise
Your love is all I've found; that will not let me down
At Your feet is where I'll give my heart away

This song is so singable and heartfelt, and it comes from a worship leader that is easy to follow, Greg Plett. We sing this song in Church mixed in with other contemporary worship songs, but I wonder if many people realize that it was Greg who wrote it?! I love it!
