Father-in-law's Birthday

It was my Father-in-law's birthday this weekend and we had them over for dinner on Sunday. My mother-in-law is a vegatarian, so I made turkey lasagne with caesar salad. During the week life is so hectic these days (ever since I changed jobs almost 2 years ago now) that I can't plan to have people over at all during the week any more, and I find that weekends don't go far either, so it's nice when it does work out:) I'm looking forward to more of that as the Christmas season approaches. AND - I just learned our friends from Chicago will be here for Christmas starting on December 20th - so I have some get-togethers to plan:)

This is my Father-in-law's birthday card - yes, he's a hockey fanatic and I used Canuck colours since that is his team. It's fairly simple, no bows or sparkles, but I'm pretty sure he prefers it that way;)

What a great masculine card. I hope life slows down for you a bit. I know how hectic it gets around here and I don't have to leave the house.

In the meantime - just wanted to tell you how happy I am to have gotten to know you through the magic of blogland - I nominated you for the Butterfly Award on my blog.
